Service Description
Teens Play is an acting class for ages 13–19 that strengthens character work, scene study, communication, stage presence, and ensemble discipline. Students receive acting instruction while rehearsing a complete play, and every enrolled student receives a role in the final performance. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What ages can participate? Teens Play is open to students ages 13–19. When does the class meet? Rehearsals are Wednesdays from 2:45–4:15 p.m. Does my student need acting experience? No. Beginners are welcome, while returning performers can develop stronger technique and take on more demanding material. What will students learn? Students develop character creation, scene work, projection, movement, memorization, listening, teamwork, stage presence, and the discipline required for a full theatrical production. Is this a class or a production? Both. Students receive instruction throughout rehearsals and apply those skills while preparing a complete play for an audience. Does every student receive a role? Yes. Every enrolled student is guaranteed a part. No admission audition is required, although directors may use an in-class audition or assessment to assign roles based on readiness and the needs of the production. How long is the session? Registration is organized by production. Fall sessions generally run September–November, and spring sessions generally run February–April. What does tuition include? Tuition is $250 per student and includes weekly rehearsals and participation in the final performance. Payment plans are available upon request; sibling discounts are not currently offered. Are costumes included? No. Families purchase their student’s costume, usually only one or two simple pieces, after receiving specific guidance from the directors. What is the attendance policy? Consistent attendance is important because each performer affects the entire cast. Occasional absences can generally be accommodated if the student attends enough rehearsals to learn the role and work effectively with the ensemble. Can students register late? Enrollment may remain open during the first one or two weeks if space is available and casting has not been completed. Where are rehearsals and performances held? Rehearsals this session are being hosted at 36955 Los Alamos Road, Murrieta, CA, 92563.
