Non-Discrimination Policy
A Note on Casting Decisions
The explanations and information provided on this page are intended to clearly communicate our casting philosophy and standards. This policy exists to promote transparency, fairness, and respect for all participants. Casting decisions are artistic in nature and should not be interpreted as judgments of a performer’s worth, effort, or potential.
Non-Discrimination & Casting Policy
Centertainment Performing Arts is committed to providing an inclusive, respectful, and non-discriminatory environment for all students and families. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic under applicable law.

Casting decisions are made solely based on artistic and practical considerations, including but not limited to:
the needs of the script, vocal range, physicality, age appropriateness, chemistry between performers, ensemble balance, attendance, preparedness, and overall suitability for a specific role.
How casting decisions are made
Casting is not a reward system, nor is it a ranking of talent or effort. Every role in a production is essential to the success of the show, and all participants are valued members of the ensemble.

Not receiving a specific role does not mean that a student is less talented, less capable, or less important. In many cases, multiple students may be equally qualified for a role, and final decisions often involve subjective artistic judgment and logistical constraints.
Concerns and questions
We understand that casting can be emotional for students and families. While we are always open to respectful questions about our general casting process, we do not engage in role-by-role disputes or comparisons between students.

By enrolling in our programs, families acknowledge and accept that casting decisions are final and made in good faith, without discrimination, favoritism, or bias.
